Divided according to the continents of the world, you can travel around the world in a short time at Salzburg Zoo. An exciting experience for the whole family, as 140 animal species live in the unique grounds of Hellbrunn Zoo, which extends over 14 hectares. These include both native and exotic animals.

Around 1,200 wild animals enjoy life at Hellbrunn in loving care and a unique landscape. Habitats have been created mainly from natural materials to meet the respective needs of the animals at Salzburg Zoo.
The continents at Salzburg Zoo
Come to Salzburg and take a trip around the world with the whole family! The spacious outdoor area of Hellbrunn Zoo, including the indoor areas, is divided into continents.
Africa at Hellbrunn Zoo
The heart of the Africa section is the savannah area with rhinos, zebras and antelopes. In the bird park you can meet pelicans, cranes and flamingos. Salzburg Zoo is also famous for its cheetah enclosure with its 60 km/h prey simulator.

Nothing is really far away in Salzburg, so you can quickly get to Salzburg Zoo. There are many ways to get to Hellbrunn, whether by cab, bus or on foot on a walk along the idyllic Hellbrunner Allee.
