The Hotel Amadeus combines a historic building in Salzburg’s Old Town with individually designed rooms and a location right in the pedestrian zone of Linzer Gasse. Historic architectural features have been preserved and complemented with contemporary design elements and motifs inspired by the city of Mozart.

- A historic old town house with some 600 years of history: The building used to be a public bathhouse. Ribbed vaults, massive columns, historic wooden beam ceilings, ship-deck-style floors, narrow staircases, and winding hallways have been partially preserved and are now part of the hotel.
- Central location on Linzer Gasse: The hotel is located right in the pedestrian zone of Linzer Gasse. Getreidegasse, the Mirabell Gardens, Mozart’s House, the Salzburg Festival theaters, and numerous cafés, shops, and restaurants are all within walking distance.
- Unique Salzburg Design: The 20 rooms are individually designed. Large-format photographs by Luigi Caputo depict Salzburg landmarks such as the cathedral, the fortress, Mirabell Palace, the Residenzbrunnen fountain, and historic townhouses. The rooms also feature select pieces of furniture, antique wood, canopy and box-spring beds, as well as preserved historic details.

Location & Directions
The Hotel Amadeus is located on Linzer Gasse. Numerous attractions, shops, restaurants, and cafes are within walking distance of the hotel. There is direct access to the hotel for loading and unloading.
- Address: Linzer Gasse 43–45, 5020 Salzburg, Austria
- Arriving by car: You can drive right up to the hotel to load and unload. Access is via Franz-Josef-Straße, Schrannengasse, and Wolf-Dietrich-Straße. At the end of Wolf-Dietrich-Straße, you’ll see a traffic bollard on the right. Press the button for Hotel Amadeus there, and you’ll receive the entry code (six numbers and one letter).
- Parking: The nearest public parking garage is located at Glockengasse 4a (Linzer Gasse Parking Garage) and is 500 meters away. The parking fee is €28.90 per 24 hours.
- Directions from the main train station: Take the No. 2 trolleybus toward “Obergnigl” to the “Wolf-Dietrich-Straße” stop, then walk about three minutes to Linzer Gasse. The bus ride takes about five minutes and costs approximately €3. By taxi, the trip takes about ten minutes.
- Directions from Salzburg Airport: Take the O-Bus Line 2 toward “Obergnigl” to “Wolf-Dietrich-Straße,” then walk for about three minutes. The ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately €3.
By taxi, the ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Rooms & suites
The Hotel Amadeus features 20 individually designed rooms. Large-format photographs by artist Luigi Caputo depict scenes from Salzburg, the city of Mozart, and add distinctive accents to the rooms. Depending on the room category, amenities include box-spring or canopy beds, free high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, wellness showers or freestanding bathtubs, as well as organic cosmetics by Maria Pieper. Coffee and organic tea are available to guests free of charge in the Amadeus Lounge.
- Single Room: The single room features a box-spring bed, a shower, a desk, and a wardrobe made of antique wood. The room offers a view of St. Sebastian’s Church.
- Double rooms: Depending on the room, a four-poster bed or a box-spring bed is available; in two of the rooms, separate beds are possible. One double room has a bathtub; the others have a shower. Some rooms feature preserved historic elements, such as exposed wooden ceilings.
- Junior Suite: The Junior Suites offer a view of the Campo Santo or Linzer Gasse. Depending on the suite, amenities include a rain shower, bathtub, or wellness shower, as well as a four-poster bed or a king-size box-spring bed.
- Standard Family Apartment: Accommodates up to four people with two separate bedrooms and one shared bathroom.
- Superior Family Apartment: Accommodates up to six people, also featuring two separate bedrooms and a shared bathroom.

- Air Conditioning: Due to its status as a historic landmark, the hotel does not have air conditioning. Fans are provided.
- Minibar: The rooms do not have a traditional minibar. Instead, beverages are available at the honesty bar in the Amadeus Lounge.

Gasthof Goldgasse – A Restaurant of the Amadeus Collection
For lunch and dinner, the Gasthof Goldgasse in Salzburg’s Old Town is a great choice. Like the Hotel Amadeus, the restaurant is part of the Amadeus Collection and is located about 700 meters from the hotel. This means that guests of the Hotel Amadeus have access to a central dining option in the Old Town within their own hotel group.
In addition, there are numerous other cafés and restaurants along Linzer Gasse and in the surrounding Old Town.
